There’s no ‘fitness level’ you need to reach before starting. In fact, starting from a place of rest often means your body responds beautifully to well-programmed, injury-aware strength training. Many of Katie’s clients in Holland Park and Brisbane come in with no recent exercise history and find that a slower, more thoughtful approach gets them further, FASTER than anything they’ve tried before.
Yes! In fact, training is often the solution to niggling injuries! Preventative training against injury is at the heart of everything Katie does. Whether you’re dealing with a long-standing back issue, post-surgical recovery, knee pain, shoulder tension, or any other persistent niggle, Katie works collaboratively with you (and your healthcare providers where relevant) to train safely around your body’s current needs. The goal is never to push through pain, it’s to build strength in a way that supports healing, reduces flare-ups, and restores confidence in your body. You don’t have to wait until you’re ‘fixed’ to start. Many clients find that their personal training program is integral to a speedy recovery.
The free discovery call is a quick 15-20 minute conversation to find out more about YOU! It’s an opportunity for you and Katie to connect to find out where you’re at right now, what’s been holding you back, what your goals are, and whether it’s a good fit. If it feels right, you’ll arrange an assessment session at Goodlife Health Clubs Holland Park gym or online via Zoom, and if it doesn’t, no problem at all. The call is entirely free and entirely yours.
For the assessment session, no. You can simply sign in as a guest at reception. However, membership IS required to train at that facility ongoing. Online personal training sessions via Zoom are also available if you’d prefer to stay at home or workout from another gym.
Yes. Online coaching is available for clients across Australia via Zoom. Whether you’re outside Brisbane, have a busy schedule, or simply prefer to train at home, Katie can design a personalised program and provide ongoing support remotely. Ask about this on your discovery call.
The difference comes down to the whole-person approach. A standard gym PT typically focuses on exercise programming alone, sets, reps, and sweat. Katie’s holistic personal training goes much further. Alongside strength and movement, she integrates gut health and nutrition, sleep and recovery, stress and nervous system regulation, and mindset and motivation. We are not looking to pile more on your plate, but rather, understand why you feel the way you do, and work with you to create sustainable change. Clients consistently report that they don’t just feel stronger, they feel calmer, more energised and more at home in their bodies.
Pricing is tailored to individual needs and will be discussed after your initial assessment session.
Assessment sessions are 45 minutes, regular personal training sessions are 30 minutes. I request clients to arrive 10 minutes earlier to complete preparatory exercises to maximise time spent on heavier lifts and technical work.
Yes! Weekly training sessions are available via Zoom alongside tailored online training programs. Standalone, personalised training programs are also available online including video form checks and access to coaching through the Train Heroic app.
Yes! However, I recommend an assessment session first to establish if your fitness and strength levels are similar. This ensures the programs I deliver are appropriate for both of you. If you are new to training, working with injuries/niggles or looking for a tailored program, I recommend training privately.
