Veggie “Cheese” Sauce
Cheese. We have all loved cheese from time to time. I know a lot of vegan influencers and nutritionists recommend using cashews/tofu/nuts/seeds for cheese sauce, but I have found that doing it this way is healthier, and better for energy! The nuts/seeds/tofu tend to have a little too much fat in my opinion, especially when working on cleansing the liver. So this option is the next best thing! I adapted this recipe from Broccoli Mum’s version, but added my own flavours and seasonings to it to suit my preferences.
You can use it with Macaroni cheese, epic nachos, or any other dish you want to add a “cheesy” layer to. Moussaka and lasagne also come to mind! I hope you thoroughly enjoy this one in many different ways!
