Pear Salad with Crunchy Sweet Potato Bites
Enjoy this simple pear salad mid week as a family favourite! As a matter of practicality, I tend not to care about food combining as much when the flavours that combine are so delicious - which is exactly what’s going on with this salad! For most people who are wanting to be healthier and lose weight, this combination shouldn’t be a huge deal on digestion. However, if it is, I recommend reducing the amount of pears or omitting them, and just sticking to the sweet potato and salad combination. Or, eat the pears first, then dig into the sweet potato and salad.
You may also find that the crispy potatoes are a little tricky to digest if you’ve had significant liver/digestive issues. If this is the case, instead of baking them with herbs and spices, just steam them gently and add to the salad as they are. This will reduce digestive discomfort and help your body assimilate the nutrients!
If you have none of these issues - just go for gold! But remember, if you have a goal in mind with your energy or health, simplify this recipe, and enjoy the natural flavours of the potato and the greens!
