Soy Free “Soy Sauce”
I love asian dishes. I love anything with a bit of savoury going on. But alas, I have a soy story that ends with me deciding, I’m not eating it anymore! SO! I trawl the internet, collecting ideas, testing and trialling, and working it out! And here it is! A super umami, low sodium, soy-free “soy sauce” recipe just for you!
Use this with any sort of savoury cooking in place of soy sauce! This sauce is much thicker than traditional soy sauces and tamari, so be mindful that it’s much better used in cooking than as a condiment. Having said that, I still think it would taste great with some sushi as a dipping sauce! If you add a bit more water and simmer it down for longer, you may yield a slightly thinner consistency, but the base recipe is here for you to play with!
You will need to have some Garden Elixir Vegetable Stock Cube handy for this one! Very easy to make, super quick, and super tasty! I hope you enjoy it!
