Quintessential Green Smoothie

I have this smoothie everyday. It is a staple for my health journey, and I won’t be stopping any time soon. For a long time, I was very “anti-green” anything going into my body. But the moment I started doing green smoothies regularly, I really noticed an uplift in energy and my cognition! Truly amazing… Now, if I miss my green smoothie - I really notice!

I am yet to establish a lovely herb garden, but it’s on the to do list! Because they are sometimes expensive to buy fresh, I do not always have them in there, I certainly recommend it!! These herbs contain vital nutrients to assist with detoxification, especially heavy metals which are becoming more and more problematic. If you don’t always have them on hand, it doesn’t matter, you can still do the smoothie without them. But try to get them in where you can!

The recipe here is a rather large portion. I always make this much to have as a couple of meals in the morning when I’m most physical and busy. If you have a less active job and/or you’re at a desk, a smaller portion certainly makes sense. Having said that, making a large amount and keeping some for a snack later on is a great way to minimise prep time, and maximise your nutritional intake!
