Smoothie Tropicana

Quite a few clients of mine over the years have mentioned that they DON’T like banana - especially not in a smoothie! Others like bananas in a smoothie but not as a stand alone fruit… It’s surprising to me just how polarising this fruit can be fore some of you! Although I’m personally a huge fan of bananas in my smoothies, I recognise the need for more meal sized smoothies with no banana - so I’ve started a collection of recipes for those of you who can’t quite get your head around the bananas - at least, not yet!

I hope you enjoy this very summary, delicious SMOOTHIE TROPICANA! Feel free to vary the quantities to suit your tastes. Ensure when using pineapples that they are very ripe before using them. The skin should look quite yellow and smell sweet!

A LITTLE NOTE ON PINEAPPLE & ORANGES!

Oranges and pineapples are naturally acidic fruits, high in citric and ascorbic acid, which can irritate the stomach lining in SOME people—especially those with acid sensitivity, reflux, or existing gut inflammation. Their acidity may trigger heartburn, bloating, or discomfort by increasing gastric acid production or aggravating already sensitive digestive tissue.

PLEASE NOTE: I have carefully curated all of these recipes with CORRECT FOOD COMBINATIONS! Where possible, please stick to the recipes to ensure ease and completness of digestion. If you have digestive upset with any of these recipes, it may warrant investigation, so please reach out if that’s the case for you!
